Ella R. (Pleiscott) Thomas, 91, of Slocum passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Berwick Retirement Village, where she was a patient for the past several years.
Born in Nanticoke on March 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Margaret M (Myers) Pleiscott. She attended Newport Township High School. Prior to retiring, she worked at Milco Industries in Berwick for many years.
Ella was a member of St James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hobbie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Lefty” H. Thomas in 1969; brothers, Alfred, Edward and James Pleiscott; and sister, Betty Good.
She leaves behind her brothers: Harold Pleiscott and wife Judy, Slocum Twp; Dale Pleiscott and wife Jeanne, Slocum Twp; sister, Barbara Kessler and husband Arden, Hunlock Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St James Church, 827 East County Road, Wapwallopen with her pastor, Reverend Oliver Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Albert Cemetery, Mountaintop. Friends may call at the church, on Wednesday, from 9:30 till the time of service.
