Darla J. (Watts) Flick, 72 of Mountaintop, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Berwick on December 3, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Lula M. (Wertz) Watts. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1966 and furthered her education at Wilkes-Barre Business School. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Bloomsburg University. Most recently Darla worked at the Columbia County Family center where she helped many families. Earlier in her life she worked at Walmart and RCA.
She was an active member of New Life Community Church, Mt Top, where she played the piano. She liked quilting, was an avid reader and an excellent cook. She loved to travel both domestically and internationally and go for car rides around the area. She was very supportive of the military in which her husband and grandchildren all served.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester R. Flick, who died in 1978; and daughters, Korey Flick and Kendra Flick.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Kelly Flick and wife Jennifer, Dorrance; Kristy Ryman and husband Martin, Benton; cherished grandchildren, Martin Ryman II; Andrew Ryman; and Amanda Ryman; adored great grandchildren, Charlotte Ryman-Thomas and Brayden Ryman; sister, Lucinda Ulanoski, Drums; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck with Pastor John Broglin officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
