Mark L. Wenner of Nescopeck, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on April 14, 1949, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Vera (Chapin) Wenner. He was raised in Nescopeck and graduated from Berwick High School in 1968. Mark started truck driving at the age of 18. For many years, he owned his own truck and drove for several different trucking companies. Most recently, he was a driver for Wise Foods, where he earned his 3,000,000 mile award at his retirement in 2019.
He had a love for trucks, and even when not driving, he would often spend his free time working on them. He liked John Deere tractors too. He liked football; his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed playing with the family dog, Diesel. When his daughter was younger, he spent a lot of his time taking her and her horses to shows.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Sally A. (Laubach) Wenner; children: Lori Kline and husband Dennis, Bel Air, MD; Bob Belcher and wife Joey, Nescoepck; Brad Wenner, Bloomsburg; Kristy Wenner, Orlando, FL; grandchildren: Erica Kline; Chelsea Wenner; Shaina Jasler; Matt Kline; Andrew Wenner; Kira Belcher; and Jamie Belcher; great grandchildren: Charlotte Rockey; Ella Rockey; and Hunter Creveling.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck with Pastor Rick DeLina officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery, Briggsville. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of service.
