Sharon E. Dawson, 61, of Wapwallopen, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by family.
Born in Berwick on January 25, 1960, she was a daughter of Ray E. Dawson, of Nescopeck and the late Evelyn L. (Kishbaugh) Dawson. She graduated from Berwick high school. Sharon worked as a caretaker for family and friends. She made a warm and loving environment wherever she went.
She volunteered for many community events with the Nescopeck Township and Hobbie Fire Hall. She was very involved with the Hobbie Carnival every year. Sharon enjoyed planning parties, baking, and cooking. She also liked to shop. When she wasn’t in the kitchen or a department store, she loved to sit and watch fireworks.
In addition to her father, she will be greatly missed by her loving partner of over 20 years, Jeffery Pawlowski, Wapwallopen; brothers, Keith Dawson, Nescopeck; Randy Dawson and wife Sandy, Wapwallopen; Jeff Snyder and wife Allison, Catawissa; sisters, Wanda Stradnick and husband Lance, Wapwallopen; Tammy Dawson, Millville; Midge Shoemaker and husband Jeff, Wapwallopen.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and a great nephew. Sharon was the favorite aunt to all of them. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Briggsville. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Masks will be required.
