John W. Krasniak, Sr., 72, of Berwick, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home, surrounded by family.
Born in Kingston on July 2, 1949, he was a son of the late John and Audrey (Gary) Krasniak. He attended school in the Kingston area. He worked in many local retail stores throughout his life, working his way up the ladder to management.
John was an avid fisherman and spent as much time as he could down by the water. He also liked to go to flea markets. He liked football and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He will be greatly missed by his companion of 20 years, Winnie Fahringer; sons, John Krasniak, Jr. and wife Lora, Nescopeck; Brian Krasniak and companion Brenda Stanley, Dallas; daughter, Tracy Bailey and husband Dave, Beaver Twp.; stepchildren: Rodney Rubenstein; Dawn Miller; grandchildren Brittany Krasniak, Tatyana Huff, Sabrina Krasniak, Brandon Bailey, Dakota, Landon, Teagan, Brianna Rubenstein, Adam Rovenolt, Dakota Ohawk, Courtney Hunsinger; 9 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Susan Zeller, Luzerne; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis and Robbie Krasniak; and stepson, Terry Hunsinger.
At John’s request there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
