Charles C Hashagen, Sr, “The Good-Lookin’ Fat Guy”, of Wapwallopen passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital where he was a patient since Monday.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 4, 1959, he is a son of Clinton M. and Caroline R. (Coppie) Hashagen of Berwick. He graduated from Berwick High School in 1977. For many years, Chuck was self-employed as a framer.
Chuck had a passion for cars, he spent many hours working on them. He owned many cars over the years, and he enjoyed going to the track and racing.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his wife of 32 years, Joann L. (Adams) Hashagen; sons, Charles C Hashagen, Jr; Erik Hashagen; Chad Hashagen; and Clinton Hashagen, all from Wapwallopen; grandchildren, Lincoln, and Cali; sisters, Cindy M. Hashagen Frizzell and husband Christopher, Cape Coral, FL; Cheryl Sink and husband Richard II, Berwick; Christe Bomber and husband Andrew, Bear Creek; brothers, Cullen M. Hashagen, Berwick; Craig B. Hashagen and companion Sharon, Shickshinny; many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and numerous friends including Joshua Maczuga and ‘Big Z’.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Carolee Wescott and Charlene Hashagen; and a brother, Clinton C ‘Smoke’ Hashagen.
Family will receive friends during a visitation from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck, followed by time of sharing.
