Samuel E. Brown, 24, of Berwick passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Bloomsburg on May 8, 1997, he is the son of Cheri L. (Graeber) Paul of Bloomsburg and Edward George Brown of Nescopeck. He was a 2015 graduate of Central Columbia High School and went on to complete his Associate Degree in graphic arts and web design at Luzerne County Community College. Sam was currently employed at Walmart in Bloomsburg.
He enjoyed playing video games, especially Pokémon and Pokémon Go. He was a monster truck enthusiast and loved attending truck rallies. He also liked building and operating RC cars and trucks. Sam was a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Sam was outspoken about his opposition to bullying. For his Eagle Scout project, he built ‘buddy benches’ to be placed at Central’s middle and elementary schools, where kids who were being bullied or having problems could sit in a safe place and have someone listen to the issues they were having. This project helped him earn his Eagle Scout Badge.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his stepfather, Lee Paul; stepmother, Maryann Brown; stepbrother, Zachary Paul; stepsister, Jessica Alescio and partner Gary Digby; niece and nephew, Trinity and Benjamin; grandparents, Doreen Russ; David and Debra Graeber; great grandfather, Ron Varner; step grandparents, William and Ann Winn; several aunts and uncles, Karen and Mike Kitsmiller; Kathy and Mike Cohen; Amy Payne and fiancé AJ Barnes; Crystal and Jim Fitzpatrick; Russ and Mary Graeber; many cousins including Codi Payne with whom he was very close; and his girlfriend of 2 years, Destiny Longworth.
