Gary E. Wolfe, 83, of Hetlerville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his home.
Born in Berwick on March 3, 1938, he was a son of the late Lamar L and Marcella (Remley) Wolfe. He was a graduate of Mifflinville High School and served in the US Army from 1957 To 1960. Gary retired from Wise Potato Chips after 35 years of employment.
Gary enjoyed golfing, hunting, riding motorcycles and traveling with his wife. He liked driving his Gator, especially to the neighbor’s house to feed the goat and chickens. He was an avid Berwick Bulldogs fan.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 35 years, Jean E. (McAfee) Wolfe; daughter, Melaney Wolfe and wife Terrie, Salem SC; son, Eric Wolfe and wife Kimberly, Bloomsburg; granddaughter, Emily Wolfe; son-in-law, Michael Jolly, Jacksonville, FL; stepson, Dale Dietterick and wife Alice, Berwick; step-granddaughter, Danielle Dietterick; stepson, Jamie Dietterick and fiancée Cheryl, Berwick. He also leaves behind sisters, Judy Whitmire, Hetlerville; Trudy Martz, Lime Ridge; Pam Ball and husband Scott, Hetlerville; brother, Ronnie Wolfe and wife Kathy, Hetlerville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Jolly in 2019; his sister, Patty Yoder and husband Harry; and brothers-in-law, Glen Whitmire; and Franklin Martz.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of his family in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
