Edward L. McGeehan, 81, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2021, at the home of his friend, Becky Watts, who was caring for him along with his daughter, Heidi, and the nurses of Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick.
Born in Nanticoke on June 26, 1940, he was a son of the late Daniel J. and Sarah M. (Evans) McGeehan. He was raised and educated in the Nanticoke area and over the years has been employed at several local manufacturing companies. Prior to retirement, he worked at Berwick Offray for several years.
Ed was a member of Berwick Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, but most of his time was spent with family, especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He adored his cat “Bella”. He also liked taking his scooter out for rides around town.
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Sherrie Sikorski and husband Keith, Exeter; Heidi McGeehan, Berwick; grandchildren, Desiree; Steve and wife Ashley; Kaitlyn and husband Garrett; Keigan; Kaden; Kennedy and Kyler JackDaniel McGeehan, the light of his Pop Pop’s life, who will carry on his predecessors names; great grandchildren, Destiny; Sierra; and Aubrey; in addition to Becky, he was very fond of her children, Alex, and Alexis, “his angel girl with the beautiful thick red hair”. He is also survived by 2 sons, Edward and Randy McGeehan; 2 stepsons, Robert and wife Bonnie; Kelly and fiancée Patty; stepdaughters, Holly Harmon and companion Ziggy; April Gregory and companion Carl; several step-grandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Kevin; a stepson, Duane; and brothers, Daniel and Jack McGeehan.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck to help with his final expenses.
