Carol A. (Sherman) Ricci

Carol A. (Sherman) Ricci, 78, of Berwick passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at The Gardens in Orangeville.

Born in Mifflinburg on July 03, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Pearl (McCalister) Sherman. She attended school in Berwick and in her early years, Carol worked at Coblentz store and Dr. Clarks Optometrists Office in Berwick. Her greatest joy was working at the Berwick Retirement Village as a coordinator, where she enjoyed making every resident feel special and brought much happiness to their lives. After leaving there, she worked privately at Comfort Keepers, still spreading that love and joy.

She was a member of Good Shephard Church, Berwick. In her spare time, she loved to crotchet, sew, read, cross-stitch, and make an awesome pumpkin roll.

She will be greatly missed by her two loving children: Mark Wolford and his wife Pam, Berwick; Meredith Gunning, New York; son-in-law: Jon Gunning and his dear friend Kelly, New York; cherished grandchildren: Amanda Fulmer and her husband Michael, Berwick; Nikki Wolford and her husband Peter, New Mexico; Gianna and Ethan Gunning; adored great grandsons: Mason and Max Fulmer; sister, Janet Sweeny, Berwick; brother, Larry Sherman and his wife Carol, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many wonderful friends who were more like family, to whom her family would like to extend a special thanks, as well as Primo’s family, for their love and support.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 16 years, Primo who passed away on December 14, 2014, and her brother-in-law, Paul Sweeny.

Her family would also like to extend a special thank you to Geisinger home staff for all their love and support.

At Carol’s request, there will be no services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting her family.
