Elizabeth R. (Felix) Arellano, 77, of Nescopeck passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Berwick on July 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth R. (Brown) and Rudolph J. Felix, Jr. Betsy graduated from Nescopeck High School, class of 1962 and attended Wilkes-Barre Business School. After graduation, she was employed at Consolidated Cigar and briefly at Berwick High School, she then worked for many years as a secretary at the Pentagon before moving back to Berwick, where she was employed at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Mary’s, Berwick. She enjoyed completing tasks involved with being a home maker, and working outside, especially mowing the grass. She loved decorating for the holidays. In the summer and warm weather, she liked visiting the beach.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Arthur “Skip” Arellano; son, Scott A. Arellano and fiancée Missy, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Melissa L. Kuhns and husband Shawn, Bloomsburg; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Brock, Lexi, Colton, and Addee. She also leaves behind a sister, Roberta Kishbaugh and husband Ron, NC; her aunt, Peggy Felix; niece Crystal Kishbaugh; cousins, Fran and Jerome Bradshaw and Steve and Carol Felix.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles including Betty (Felix) Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
