Theodore “Ted” P. Hoyson III, 61, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at home.
Born in Berwick on (New Year’s Eve) December 31, 1960, he is the son of Betty J. (Harmon) of Berwick and the late Theodore P. Hoyson II. Ted spent his childhood years growing up in the Towanda Area. His family later relocated to Berwick where he excelled in sports, especially football and was incredibly proud of being a Bulldog. He earned a 4-year football scholarship which began at Wyoming Seminary and continued at James Madison University. For several years he worked in management in the building and supply industry along the Eastern Seaboard.
Ted was a member of the St. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Berwick, Pennsylvania. He was an avid reader and kept and open mind about many subjects. He also wrote poetry and is a published author. He found great joy in watching old re-runs, the cooking channel, listening to music and spending time with family.
In addition to his mother, he will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Ann Marie (Eveland) Hoyson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children; Elisabeth, Nicolai, and Riley of North Carolina; stepchildren, Stephen Eveland and his wife Tracey of Berwick, Nichole Korn and her husband Daniel of Lake Ariel; step-grandchildren, Trinity, Kiera and Raven. He also leaves behind a sister, Victoria Yohe of Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews including, Megan and husband Sam El-Nageh; Mikael Yohe; Lydie Fornwald and husband Bryan, and their son, Avery.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East 3rd Street, Nescopeck, Pennsylvania. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
