Helen P. Whitmire, age 84, of Mahoning Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Emmanuel Center for Nursing.
Born in Bloomsburg, on May 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late George and Marqueen (Unger) Reese. Helen was a seamstress for over 30 years, at Lady Ester Lingerie Corporation, Berwick.
Helen loved to travel and go to casinos with her husband.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Vernon Whitmire and wife Noreen; Bradley Whitmire and partner Richard Magoch, New York; daughter, Cindy May; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother, Jim Reese and wife Ingrid, Bloomsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon W. Whitmire and daughter-in-law, Melissa Whitmire.
At her request there will be no services.
