Phyllis N. Yoder, 87, of Nescopeck, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at her home.
Born in Freeland, on September 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Rufus D. and Mary A. (Snook) Lingle. She was educated in the one-room schoolhouse in Zenith.
Phyllis was a dedicated wife and mother, who worked hard to provide a loving home for her family. Phyllis was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Zenith. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her free time. Phyllis was also a collector of teddy bears.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Marilyn Lagana, Nescopeck Twp; Sharon Slusser and husband Donald, Nescopeck; grandchildren, Joseph Lagana; Lori Terry; Tammy Zeek and significant other Wayne Barry; Christy Spade and husband Albert lll; and 3 great-grandchildren, Julee Hileman and husband James; Keith Spade; Shelby Terry. She also leaves to cherish her memories her companion of 15 years, Leroy Remensnyder.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles H. Yoder, in 2001; son-in-law, Joseph; and brother, Rufus “Sonny” Lingle.
A private funeral service will be held at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck. Burial will take place next to her husband in St. James Cemetery, Zenith.
