Joseph J. Kinney III, age 34, of Scranton, formerly of Berwick passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born in Danville on February 3, 1988, he was the son of Joseph J. Kinney Jr of Scranton and Jennifer L. Leyc-Milligan of Harvey’s Lake. Joseph was a graduate of Berwick High School and for many years he worked in landscaping and contracting. He was currently employed at Kevin’s Worldwide in Scranton.
Joey loved being outside, especially with his daughters, taking them on walks to parks and creeks, doting on them, and finding ways to bond with them. He had a true passion for music and liked listening to FFDP, Juice World, Slipknot, and many more.
Joey was extremely family oriented and a devoted father. Nothing made him prouder than ensuring the happiness and safety of his ladies.
In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by daughters, Natalia and Milah Kinney; their mother and significant other of 8 years, Rachel Ream; sisters, Selena and Heather; several aunts and uncles including, Jackie and Dave Kinney, as well as 3 nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph J “Sarge” Kinney Sr, and Sandra Benza-Kinney; and his uncle, Mark Kinney.
