MaryAnn Yeager

MaryAnn Yeager, age 79, of Mifflinville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2022, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg on September 27, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Kurwin Gearinger and Jane E. (Samuels) Fought. She was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, class of 1961, and went on to earn her certificate as a Nurse’s Assistant. She worked for many years at Fought’s Lunch, which was owned by her family. MaryAnn devoted most of her time to providing a loving home for her husband, children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, entertaining friends and family at her pool during the summers, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, “Benji”. She was a Girl scout leader when her daughters were younger and enjoyed league bowling with her husband. She loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Larry A. Yeager with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 24th. She also leaves behind her daughters, Denise Stone and husband Matthew, Bloomsburg; Lorie Boyd and husband David Jr, Bloomsburg; son, Randy Yeager and wife Stacy, Bloomsburg; grandchildren, Anthony Stone (PA State Tpr); Jonathan Stone; Zachary Boyd, Alyssa Boyd; Andrew Yeager and Elizabeth Yeager; a sister, AlyceJae Marks, Bloomsburg; brother, Donald T Fought and wife Nancy, Bloomsburg; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous loving friends.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Donald L. Fought, she was preceded in death by her sister, EllenJane Ketchem and husband Robert, and a brother-in-law, Charles “Chip” Marks.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck immediately followed by funeral service. Interment will take place in Mifflinville Cemetery.
