Vernon “Ricky” Hill, age 56, of Berwick went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Berwick on May 18, 1966, he was a son of the late Vernon R. and Sarah J. (Ernst) Hill Sr. He graduated from Berwick High School and began working at the Zepher Diner. Later, he was employed for over 30 years at the Berwick Hospital and Berwick Retirement Village, and most recently, he worked at the Forge Pub and Eatery.
Ricky enjoyed camping and watching NASCAR. Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliot were his favorite drivers. He liked cooking and trying new recipes. He had a great sense of humor and could take any situation and bring a laugh to it.
In April of 1991, he married the love of his life, Stephanie S. (Hartman) Hill, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage. In addition to her he will be greatly missed by his daughters, Ashley Dargan and husband Kevin, Oxford, PA; and Kayla Hill, Berwick. He was the greatest Pa-pa to his grandson, Nolan, who he loved spending time with. He also leaves behind a sister, Tammy Strobel and husband Scott, Berwick; and a brother, Alvin Hill, Berwick; several nieces and nephews; cousins; aunts and uncles.
At Ricky’s request there will be no services.
