Edward D. “Farmer” Young III, 67, of Slocum Township passed away unexpectedly on Thursday,
December 1, 2022.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 14, 1955, he was a son of the late Edward D. and Shirley A. (Deen) Young.
He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1973 and attended Bloomsburg State College. For over 40
years, he was the proprietor of Edward Young Construction.
Farmer loved hunting and fishing. He could build anything and enjoyed woodworking. Whatever he was
doing, his loyal dog “Titus” was by his side.
In 1977, he married the love of his life, Michelle A. (Spaide) Young. Together they raised 2 children to
whom he was an excellent role model. Besides his wife, he will be greatly missed by his son, Edward D.
Young IV and wife Carla Valenia, Wapwallopen; and daughter, Tiffany Young and fiancé “PJ” Thomas. He
also leaves behind a sister, Linda Camillocci and husband Jim “Cam”, Orangeville; brothers, Ron Young,
Wapwallopen; Randy Young and wife Rita, Florida; Roger Young, Wilkes-Barre; Don Young and wife Jean,
North Carolina; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Heller Funeral
Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck.
