Amanda Rose Miller

Amanda Rose Miller, 25, of Nescopeck, passed away Monday December 5th, 2022, as a result of an auto accident. Born on July 3rd, 1997 in Danville, she was the daughter of Robert Miller and Deborah (O’Neil) and husband John Hower, all of Berwick. Amanda was a graduate of Berwick Area School District class of 2015. In school she played field hockey and was on the swim team. She was a student in the nursing program at Penn state Hazleton and was set to graduate on December 19th 2022. She worked at the Bloomsburg Care and Rehab center for the past 7 years and while in high school she worked at Berwick Retirement Village, where the staff and residents alike reported Amanda would “light up the room with her kindness and generosity”. She was compassionate and caring. A life taken far to soon, leaving behind a consuming void, unable to be filled. Amanda was beautiful inside and out, dedicated to her family and loved her life. She was an amazing person and was kind to everyone and loved by so many, including countless friends and extended family. She enjoyed hunting and checking her trail cameras. She loved gardening and working on remodeling their home. She loved spending time with her family and friends, her biggest pride and joy was her 2-year-old son Lincoln. Survivors include her fiancé Alex Serra and her son Lincoln Serra of Nescopeck. Her parents Robert Miller and Deborah (O’Neil) and John Hower all of Berwick. Her sister Katelyn Miller and her companion Layne Kitzmiller, and her nephews, who she adored, Kason Kitzmiller and Eli Kitzmiller of Hughesville. Grandparents are Shirley O’Neil of Danville and Susan Miller of Bloomsburg and too many aunts and uncles and cousins to list. She was proceeded in death by grandparents Robert O’Neil and Evan Miller her extended family includes David and JoAnn Serra who loved her as a daughter along with all of Alex’s family. Family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck, immediately followed by a memorial service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to her family and will be contributed to a fund that will be sent up for her son, Lincoln.
