Patricia L. Gipple, 82, of Berwick passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danville.
Born in Bloomsburg on October 25, 1940, she was born to the late John Gower and Florence E. (Young) Pfaler and later adopted and raised by the late Norman and Florence L. (McGargle) Larish. She was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, class of 1960. She worked at Consolidated Cigar, Berwick for several years as well as Klingerman’s Nursing Home, Orangeville.
Patricia was a member of Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church and liked going to the Berwick Senior Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzles, wordsearches, and playing cards and board games. Patricia also had a collection of cats and angels. She had a contagious smile that could light up a room and a love for all animals.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Patricia L. Shaffer, Berwick; Anna Marie Gipple, Berwick; sons, Larry Gipple Jr., Danville; James L. Gipple, Milton; John L. Gipple, Berwick; and 2 grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters, Laura Remaley, Berwick; Pearl Strass, Berwick; Dorothy Witts, Berwick; brothers, Jake Pfaler and wife Dolly, Bloomsburg; David Pfaler, Catawissa; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry D. Gipple Sr., on September 24, 2010; daughter, Jean; sister, Sara Pawlowski; and brother, Eddie Pennypacker.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck to help defray her final expenses.
