William H. Harmon lll, age 84, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Glen Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Berwick.
Born in Berwick on March 1, 1938, he was a son of the late William and Gertrude (LaWalt) Harmon Jr. He graduated from Berwick High School and received an associate degree in graphic arts from Williamsport Technical Institute. He was employed as a Pressman at Haddon Craftsmen, which later became R.R. Donnelly, retiring after over 30 years.
William was a member of Immaculate Conception (St. Mary’s) Church, Berwick. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. William enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked college, pro, and high school football. He was an avid Bulldogs fan. Depending on the game, he always rooted for the home team or the underdog.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Michael Harmon and wife Vicki, Berwick; Kevin Harmon and wife Lorelei, Berwick; daughter-in-law, Lori Bean, Nescopeck; grandchildren, Brent, Shannon, Brandon, Alec, Kaitlin; and great-grandchild, Liam. He also leaves behind a sister, Linda Holdren, Berwick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy A. (Bringenberg) Harmon on December 23, 2018; son, Mark Harmon on April 6, 1991; brothers, Alvin Harmon; John Harmon; Gordon Harmon; Harry Harmon; sister, Helen Bankes; and a sister in infancy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Immaculate Conception (St. Mary’s) Church, 1730 Fowler Ave, Berwick, with Reverend William Barbee officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church chapel from 9:00 AM until the prayer service at 10:45.
