Jack W. Fenstemaker Sr., age 88, of Berwick, passed away 23 hours short of his birthday, on Friday, March 24, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Berwick on March 25, 1934, he was one of eight children born to the late Claude and Hilda (Parker) Fenstemaker. He attended school in the Berwick area and was the owner of Fenstemaker and Son Well Drilling, for over 30 years.
Jack was a member of the former Albright United Methodist Church, Nescopeck. He was also a member of the Rotary Club, the Elks and Eagles, Berwick. Jack and his wife enjoyed taking cruises as well as traveling in the U.S. He enjoyed hunting trips out west as well as fishing in New York and Canada. Jack also enjoyed taking his grandson Kristopher fishing at Evansville Lake and family gatherings at his pool. He will be missed by his constant companion Max, his Himi-Persian cat.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Jack W. Fenstemaker Jr, Wyncote; Richard Fenstemaker and wife Lisa, Berwick; Brenda Keck and husband Barry, Berwick; JoAnn Sitler and companion Scott Myers, Berwick; and Patric L. Fenstemaker, Berwick; grandchildren, Jack Fenstemaker lll; Candace Fenstemaker; Katelyn Fenstemaker; Amy Keck; Michelle Keck; Andrew Sitler; a great-grandchild, Braiden Sitler; sister, Judy Whitmire; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Yvonne M. Fenstemaker April of 2022; and a grandson, Kristopher Keck in 2000 and 6 siblings.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
