Jacqueline Hittle, age 70 of Berwick passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Nanticoke on May 14, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Nathan L and Grace A (Turley) Wolfe. She was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, class of 1970. She started as an operator at Bell Telephone which later became Verizon, retiring as a sales representative, after 30 years.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Berwick, and a former Red Hat Lady. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. Jackie liked spending time with her grandchildren and always found reasons to spoil them. She loved celebrating the holidays, eating out and shopping. She was a Berwick Football fan and attended many games. She enjoyed planting and tending flowers around her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Gerald C. Hittle, who passed away on September 9, 2022; and twin sisters, Marlene Jean, and Barbara Ann, who died in infancy.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Kimberly Waltman and husband Tim, Mifflinville; Christina Hittle, Berwick; stepdaughters, Jerianne Benish and husband Doug, Irwin; and Elizabeth Hittle-Hemmen and husband Lance, Bloomsburg; 7 cherished grandchildren: Alex Walp, Angelica Beaver, Makayla Snyder, Gabe Waltman, Abby Waltman, Collin Hornberger and Jaxon Hittle; and 3 adored great grandchildren.
All are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Christ Episcopal Church, East 16th St, Berwick, with Father Troy Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
