Alma K. Zajac

Alma K. (Miller) Zajac, age 72, of Bloomsburg passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at her home.

Born in Berwick on June 10, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert F. Miller and Esther B. (Shiner) Smith, and she attended Berwick High School. In her younger years, she worked at a sewing factory in Mifflinville. Later, she worked at the family business, the Zephyr Diner, and also was the proprietor of Colonial House Restaurant in Nescopeck. More recently she worked at the arts and crafts building at the Bloomsburg Fair and retired from Waxen Candles in Mifflinville.

Alma attended Shiloh Bible Church. She was very gifted at making crafts and painting, crocheting, and making dolls. She was known for her spiced chocolate covered cherries. She enjoyed spending time taking care of her flower garden. She was very good with numbers and helped many family members with their budgets.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Thomas Adams Jr and wife Angelie, AZ; Lorri Disidoro, Catawissa; Michael Adams and wife Sandra, Catawissa; 11 grandchildren, Jacqueline, David, Kathleen, Thomas, Nicholas, Michael, Brandon, Aaron, Felicia, Madelyn, Stella; and 6 great grandchildren, Alvin, Evelyn, David, Isabella, Jordan, and Keondra. She also leaves behind brothers, Michael Miller, Berwick; Gilbert Miller, Concord NC; sister, Beth Parks, Berwick; Sara “Cookie” Hunsinger, Bloomsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
