Paul D. Gross, age 76, of Wapwallopen passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 25, 1946, he was a son of the late Bertha C. (Jones) and Millard W Gross, Sr. He was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, class of 1965. He served honorably in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War. For 30 years, Paul worked at the Berwick Ribbon Factory.
He enjoyed crossword and search word puzzles. He liked being outside mowing the grass and working in his garden.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Jane A (Zajac) Gross; daughter, Jill Haught and husband David, Wapwallopen; grandchildren, David and Rachel; brother, Edwin Gross and wife Betty, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Lois Cromer; and brothers, Arnold, Gerald and Millard Gross, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until the time of service.
