David A. Hilley Jr, age 65, passed away on Saturday January 20, 2024 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Nanticoke on January 2, 1959, he was the son of the late David A. and Ruth I. (Bower) Hilley. David attended Northwest Highschool, graduating in 1976. He began his career as a mechanic, working for Consolidated Containers. After many years, he became a mechanics supervisor where he stayed in that position until retiring after 30+ years.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed being outdoors, riding his ATV, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of several ATV clubs.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Jason Hilley and wife Maelee, Huntington Mills; daughters, Amy Hilley, Cambra; and Rebecca Hilley, Huntington Mills; grandchildren, Clarissa Hilley and Kain Schraeder; many cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy A. (Renaud) Hilley; and brother, Robert D. Hilley.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM til 7:00 PM, Monday January 29, 2024 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Followed by a time of sharing.
