Jeffrey S. Smith, age 63, of Sugarloaf, passed away February 14, 2024, at Geisinger Medical center Danville after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Bethlehem, on March 16, 1960, he was the son of Lucy D. Smith, Lime Ridge, and the late Charles E. Smith. He attended West Hazleton High School and Hazleton Area Vocational Technical School. After graduating, he started working at Haddon Craftsman which eventually became R. R. Donnelly leaving after 25 years, and later was employed at Impress which became Trivium, for 13 years.
Jeffrey was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zenith. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting pool. He loved watching football, but his favorite teams to watch were the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Penn State. His favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 37 years, Bonnie L. (Dietterick) Smith; sons, Jordan S. Smith and wife Brittany, Berwick; and Cody C. Smith and companion Cassie Hondro, Oswego, NY; grandchildren, Lucy, and Connor Smith; sisters, Barbara Smith, Sugarloaf; Sue Zanoline and husband Tony, Nescopeck; and Beth Matthews and companion Bill, Nescopeck; brother, Charles Smith Jr. and wife Lisa, Felton, DE; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
At the family’s request there will be no public services.
