Charles J. Lewis III

Charles J. Lewis III, age 76, of Nescopeck, passed away February 19, 2024 at his home.

Born in Berwick, on October 31, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Faye B. (Brader) Lewis. He graduated from Nescopeck High School in 1965. He proudly served his country, in the Army National Guard for over 31 years. In addition to serving in the military he was also working for the Federal Civil Service as a Supervisor of a Maintenance Shop for 20 years. He was a Nescopeck Zoning Officer and delivered for food banks in Newport.

Charlie was a lifelong member of several organizations, including Amvets, Huckleberry Hunting Club, and the West End Fire Company. He was a former member of St. Marks Church, Nescopeck and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Newport. In his free time, Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a coach for little league and softball, as well as a cub scout and boy scout leader. His favorite pass time was mentoring his grandkids.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Pamela L. Lewis, Nescopeck; son, Charles J. Lewis IV and wife Rhonda, Washingtonville; daughter, Sara Collucci and husband Chris, Cumbola; grandchildren, Justin and wife Ashlee, “CJ”, Ethan, Emily, Jenna, Lea, Lance, Tyler, Bailey, Josh, and Madison; great grandchildren, Cameron and Easton; brother, Ralph Lewis, Danville; sister-in-law, Mary Lou, Berwick; and sister, Nancy Lewis Hartzel and husband Mark, Coral Cove, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ann L. Lewis Wilson.

At Charlie’s request there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC is entrusted with arrangements.
