Robert R. Howells, age 73, of Berwick passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Coaldale on July 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Zubey) Howells. He graduated from Tamaqua High School, class of 1968. In 1969, he joined the Marine Corps and served proudly until 1970. After an honorable discharge, he worked at the Nuclear Power Plant as an electrical engineer for many years until retiring.
Robert was a lifelong member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing in his free time.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Amy Ney and husband John, Hanover; son Michael Howells, Berwick; grandchildren, Britney, Ashley, and Tyler; 1 great grandchild; twin brother, Thomas Howells and wife Louise, Tamaqua; sisters, Martha Howells, Tamaqua; and Margaret Cusanelli and husband Tony, Nesquehoning; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends April 1, 2024, from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, immediately followed by a funeral service with Pastor Paul Gustine officiating. Interment will be at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
