Corie L. (Paden) Wenner, age 51, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, following a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Danville on June 29, 1972, she was the daughter of Jill M. (Chapin) Paden of Nescopeck and the late Dale R. Paden. Corie was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1990, and received her cosmetology certificate from Hair Academy in Bloomsburg. She owned and operated her own hair salon in Nescopeck for several years and was the office manager at Chapin Oil for over 20 years.
Corie was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, Nescopeck Township. She liked to go boating on several different lakes, riding UTV’s with friends, and taking trips to Benezette to see the Elk.
In addition to her mother, Jill, and significant other, Larue “Willie” Confer; she will be greatly missed by her husband, Randy C. Wenner, with whom she spent nearly 6 years as her best friend and who was the love of her life. She also leaves behind a son, Chase Yoder; daughter, Ciara Yoder; stepson, Joshua Wenner and wife Nicole; step grandchildren, Kendall and Kason; sister, Stacey Pastula and husband Mark, Schuylkill Haven; and a niece, Alicia, Alaska.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Corinne Chapin; and Ray and Minnie Paden.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Heller Funeral Home, LLC is entrusted with arrangements.
