Faith A. (Traugh) Slusser

Faith A. (Traugh) Slusser, age 80, of Nescopeck, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Berwick on September 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jackson E and Emily C. (Potter) Traugh. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1961. She worked at Milco for many years and retired from Berwick Industries.

She was a member of Assembly of God Church, Berwick. She enjoyed going for evening car rides with her husband to Test Track Park and Evensville Lake, stopping for a coffee along the way. Celebrating her children’s birthdays and holidays with her family were moments she cherished. She liked taking an occasional trip to the casino and playing games on the computer. She often reminisced about accompanying her father on his horse and buggy delivery route as a milkman when she was a child. Having a dinner out and shopping were also an extra treat.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, Gary A. Slusser, Sr; children, Steve Jaffin and wife Terry, VA; Brian Jaffin and wife Carolyn, Berwick; Christine Hess and husband Joseph, Wapwallopen; Gwen Kowalski and significant other Wayne, Wapwallopen; Gary A Slusser, Jr, Nescopeck; Shannon Slusser and wife Kristy, Nescopeck; Brianna Slusser, Nescopeck; grandchildren including, Matthew Jaffin; Olivia Gregory; Isabella Jaffin; Jackson Jaffin; Matthew Setzer; Emily Kowalski; Corina Slusser; and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother, Randy Traugh and wife Barb, Nescopeck; sister-in-law, Sharon Traugh, Berwick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Traugh; and Neil Traugh Sr and wife Henrietta.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of service.
