Arletta N. O’Donnell, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in hospice care at Allied Services, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Dorrance Twp on May 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Luther “Boots” W. and Margaret J. (Paisley) Eroh. Arletta was a graduate of Newport Twp High School, class of 1954. She was a dedicated caregiver working for Home Health.
Arletta attended services at the Salvation Army, Berwick and occasionally LCBC Church. She enjoyed dining out with friends and family. She loved going to the senior centers to volunteer and play cards, both in Illinois during the 20 years she lived there, and in Berwick since moving back about 10 years ago.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Megunah Qehath, IL; sisters, Marie Danko and husband Leonard, Pond Hill; and Janet Cool, Berwick; brother, Donald Eroh and wife Rita, IL; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cletus J. O’Donnell Jr, her three children, Sharon French, Susan Gruenberg and Peter O’Donnell.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E Third St, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
