Regina M. Mazur, age 64, of South Centre Township passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Shenandoah on July 14, 1960, she was a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Dudash) Ptaszkowski. She was a graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, class of 1978. Regina worked at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for 30 years, where she started as a switchboard operator and later became a unit desk clerk.
Regina was a former member of the Nescopeck VFW Post 8227, the Berwick Elks and the Nescopeck Fire Department. She met many of her friends while at BINGO, which was one of her favorite hobbies, but what she cherished most was the time she spent with her family. Especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Amber Kramer, Bloomsburg; son, Jeffrey Tomashefski and wife Ro, York, PA; son-in-law, Cody Kramer, Berwick; grandchildren, Madalyn, Makayla and Merrick Kramer; Destiny Tomashefski and Silas Ballard; a sister, Karyl Ptaszkowski, Shenandoah; brother, Francis Ptazkowski and wife Kelly, Sugarloaf; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 5 years, Richard L. Mazur who passed away on February 14, 2022; a sister, Jean Marie Ptaszkowski; brothers, John and Ronald Ptaszkowski.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 E. Third St, Nescopeck with Pastor Mike Spagnuolo officiating.
