Thomas L. Gunther, age 91, of Berwick passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home.
Born in Berwick on November 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Arron and Florence (Smith) Gunther. In his younger years, he was a special police officer for Berwick. Later, he worked for multiplex and retired from the forge. After retirement, he owned his own tool sharpening business and helped his wife with her business “Wanda’s Dog Grooming”.
Thomas was an avid fisherman, and hunter. He also enjoyed woodworking.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Linda Boone and husband Jody, Orangeville; Thomas Gunther II and wife Linda, Hampton, VA; Cindy Kemp, Berwick; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Dana Trego, Keeseville NY, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Wanda D. (Harvey) Gunther; a son, Glen G Gunther in infancy and 2 grandsons, Jeremy and Jody.
At Thomas’ request there will be no public services.
