Joyce R. Proeger, age 68, of Berwick passed away on November 25, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on September 16, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Rollie J. and Dorothy M. (Hampton) Kishbaugh. She attended Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School. Joyce worked for Bida Complex. She was also a Crossing Guard for the Berwick School District.
Joyce enjoyed crafting and spending any time she could with her family. She was a former member of Living Hope Free Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed her sons, Allen Powlus and companion Gina Bittner, Drums; Brian L. Powlus, Hetlerville; stepson, Quincy Foose and wife Jennifer, Berwick; grandchildren, Ethan J. Powlus; Gabrielle J. Powlus; Savanna R. Vetter; Zachery T. Powlus; Camden F. Powlus; Phoenix R. Powlus; Crimson L. Powlus; Blaze M. Busher; Joshua R. Busher; Jaxson Foose; and several step grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, John Kishbaugh and wife Deb, Berwick; sisters, Jeanie Kishbaugh and husband Donald, Berwick; Janice D’Alberto, Berwick; brother-in-laws, John Knorr and Daniel Hartzell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Knorr; Jackie Hartzell; and brother-in-law Anthony D’Alberto.
Family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck.
