Ruth Ann Diehl, age 82, passed away on November 27, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Briar Creek Twp on March 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Milden and Ella I. (Force) Wagner. In her younger years Ruth Ann and her husband, William, were self-employed truck drivers for Lycoming Silica Sand Company. Later, she worked for Plaza House Furniture for several years before retiring.
She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casino. She loved taking care of her animals, past and present.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Debbie Fox, Bloomsburg; Brenda Harner and husband Gary, Bloomsburg; Penny Diehl, Bloomsburg; son, William C. Diehl Jr. and wife Sharon, Bloomsburg; 4 grandchildren, Tanya Bourassa; John Fox, Jr; Nicole Matthews; Eric Diehl; and 4 great grandchildren, Brielle, Blake, Ashley and Tristan. She is also survived by her sisters, Anna Johnson; Shirley Webber; Mary Jane Lacey and husband Dan; brother-in-law, Luther Diehl and wife Deb; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Diehl Sr in 1994; daughter, Kathryn Beach; brother, Robert Wagner; and sisters, Dora Mae Eifert, and Alice “Jean” Poe.
A graveside service in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg, will be held at the convenience of her family. Heller Funeral Home LLC, Nescopeck is assisting her family.
