David C. Orso, age 55, of Nescopeck, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Williamsport on July 5, 1969, he was the son of Virginia L. (Brown) Orso, Williamsport and the late Robert L. Orso, Sr. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School, class of 1987. David served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1989, stationed at Ft Brag. For the past 24 years, he was employed at APR Supply in Bloomsburg.
David enjoyed hunting at his uncle and aunt’s cabin, being outdoors, Budweiser and Marlboro Lights. He loved watching his daughters grow up and seeing them play soccer and coaching. He enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg and Virginia Beach. The highlighted trip was a 3-week road trip across America, ending in San Franciso, with many stops including, the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and Nashville. He would tell people “Yes” I survived 3 weeks in a car with my wife. A lot of people thought he was an A$$hole and tough, but if you truly knew him and were lucky enough to become part of his circle, you found he had a heart of gold.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Tammy Canouse, with whom he spent the past 19 years; daughters, Carina Logan and husband Chandler, Harrisburg; Maria Orso, Harrisburg; stepdaughter, Kayla Canouse and companion Tanar Yacko, Mifflinville; stepson, Jeremy Canouse, Berwick; and grandchildren, Mya, Micah, Malory and Emmet. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Mae Orso; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Mildred Brown.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
