Wava M. (Fedder) Wynings, age 88, of Berwick passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Gardens at Orangeville.
Born in Briar Creek Twp on February 5, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William S and Theresa M (Sabo) Fedder. She was a graduate of Berwick High School, class of 1955, where she was the co-captain of the cheer leading squad. In her younger years, she also enjoyed bowling. For many years, Wava worked at Fairchild’s Dairy and most recently, she was employed as a teller at PNC Bank.
In 1957, she married the love of her life, Doyle F. Wynings. On May 18th they would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Together they started a family and a legacy for generations to come. Wava was proud of her family, and they were the joy of her life. She devoted her time to her family, making sure she never missed a birthday, holiday or a special occasion.
Wava had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Berwick, where she was a member of the WELCA. She also enjoyed her monthly “card club” meeting with her cherished friends from high school.
In addition to her husband, she will be greatly missed by her children, Marc Wynings and wife Cheryl, Berwick; Jill Bond and husband Jeffrey, Bloomsburg; and Michael Wynings and wife Jessica, Berwick; cherished grandchildren, Tara Sidwar, Jenna Eyer, Jaryn Bond, Evan Bond, Rachel Wynings, and Emily Eisenhauer; and adored great grandchildren, Dylan Francis, Carter Townsend, Nolan Eyer, Adalynn Eyer, Gavin Sidwar, and Luke Sidwar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Fayetta Lowery and Vivian Fedder.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck with her pastor, Reverand Chad Hebrink officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
