Brian M. McMurtrie, age 70, of Berwick passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at his home.
Born in Berwick on June 30, 1954, he was the only child born to the late Minor E and Helen A (Silver) McMurtrie. He was a graduate of Berwick High School. For many years, he was a truck driver for various trucking companies.
Brian loved watching and collecting movies and was an avid reader. He also collected model cars and various other novelties. He devoted his time to caring for his beloved cats, “Blue” and “Rosie”.
He will be greatly missed by his aunts, Nancy Hyde and Josephine Robsock; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
At Brian’s request, there will be no public services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is entrusted with arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Giugliano, his caregivers Stephanie and Brittany, the nurses from Compassus Hospice, and Pastor Josh Yorks for the attention and loving care they provided for Brian.
