Born on April 21, 1956, he was the son of the late William F. and Alma M (Stauffer) Millington. He was a graduate of Central Columbia High School. For over 46 years, David worked at Bloomsburg Hospital now Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. He started in the boiler room and eventually moved into the housekeeping department.
He was a member of Lime Ridge United Methodist Church which recently became Lime Ridge New Hope Church. Three of David’s favorite activities were playing the organ, singing in the church choir and mowing grass, talents which he gladly used to help the church. He had a habit of attempting to repair his mower then calling Dale for help when it was all apart and had to be put back together. He enjoyed going out to eat and attending family picnics and other family functions. He loved Lori’s lasagna, chocolate fudge and cream cheese mints. He loved his cat, Sammy, and tended to his many fish tanks.
He is survived by nieces, Lori Remphrey and husband Dale; Lona Crist; a nephew, Ed Kalbach; several great nieces, nephews and cousins; and a great-great niece, Layla Ahearn, who held a special place in his heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemarie Kalbach in March of 2023.
