Jerry L Slowick, age 75, of Berwick, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born at home in Berwick on June 24, 1950, he was a son of the late Joseph Jr and Florence (Keck) Slowick. He graduated from Berwick High School in 1968 and continued his education at Bloomsburg University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1972. Jerry worked all his life at US Radium which later became Safety Light Corporation, retiring in 2005.
He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Berwick and was a life member of West Berwick Fire Company. He liked working around his house, where he could fix anything and enjoyed mowing his grass. He was a math whiz and could solve math problems in his head. His passion was riding his motorcycle. He loved nature, riding his four-wheeler and snowmobile, and was an avid deer hunter. He loved playing board games, restaurant and beauty salon with his grandchildren, going to Knoebels and helping them fix their four-wheelers.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon E. (Beck) Slowick; daughter, Kailin (Slowick) Rumfield, Allentown; adored grandchildren, Charlotte and Everett Rumfield; brother, Larry Slowick and wife Sandra, Berwick; sister-in-law, Jean Slowick, Berwick; and nieces and nephews, including Harry Woytko and wife Celeste; Lee Slowick and wife Carla; and Renee (Slowick) Newhard and husband Keith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David, William, and Joseph Slowick; and sister, Marqueen (Slowick) Woytko.
