David G. Daubert, Jr, age 49, of Liberty and formerly of Berwick, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Hazleton on December 8, 1975, he was a son of the late David G. and Susan (Hons) Daubert, Sr. He was raised and educated in the Hazleton and Berwick areas. For many years, he was employed as a chef, most notably at Bonanza in Berwick and The Forge Pub & Eatery.
David loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He liked playing kickball and football at family get-togethers and also enjoyed fishing. He was a Jaguars football fan.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Alisha Sponenberg and husband Robert, Liberty; son, David M. Daubert; 5 stepchildren; grandchildren, Joshua Trout, Jayden Daubert, Jessica Daubert; and 3 step grandchildren. He also leaves behind sisters, Violet Kessler and companion Richard Snyder Sr; Rebecca Baker and husband Harold; brothers, James Daubert and wife Lisa; Steven Daubert; half-sister, Melissa Sebastian and half-brother, Franklin Hons; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shannon M. (Dietterick) Daubert; grandchildren, Ariana and Bradley Trout; a sister, Geraldine Smith; brother, Brian Daubert; nephews, Aiden, Dale and Anthony; niece, Star; and great nephew, Greyson and Collin Jr.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third St, Nescopeck immediately followed by a memorial service.
