Annelene Reinken, age 96, of Berwick passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Healthcare, with her family by her side.
Born in Germany on November 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Erwin Reinken and Emma Reinken Hunsinger. She was raised and graduated from high school in Frankfort Germany. In her early 20’s she moved to Pennsylvania with her mother. After getting settled and becoming familiar with area, she began working. She was employed at Consolidated Cigar in Berwick until they closed, then for the family business, Neptune’s Galley. Most recently, she worked as a nanny.
Annie was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Berwick. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, especially Pinochle. She was an avid reader and enjoyed relaxing with a good Danielle Steele book. More recently, she did word search puzzles to help keep her mind sharp. Annie was an excellent cook, no one could top her lasagna and cheesecake, and she also had a sweet tooth for pastries and chocolate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Irmgrit Milo and Frank; and a nephew, Frank Milo.
She will be greatly missed by her nephew, Erwin Milo and wife Alicia; and niece, Donna Conrad and husband Jeff.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut St, Berwick.
