Richard Wayne Dent, age 80, of Salem Twp. passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home.
Born in Berwick on December 25, 1944, he was a son of the late Glen and Phyllis (Slusser) Dent. He was a graduate of Berwick Area Senior High School, class of 1964. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, during the Vietnam War. For many years, Richard worked as an electrical contractor for Howard Organization.
Richard was a life member of the VFW post 8317, Benton. He also enjoyed showing his Greater Swiss Mountain dogs and his horses with his wife Jorja.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jorja Ann (Brown) Dent in November, 2014.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Richard “Bill” Dent and wife Susan, Berwick; and daughter, Nicci Graham and husband Mark, Newtown Square; grandchildren, Zachary Graham and wife Courtney; Alex Graham and wife Emily; Lauren Graham; and Jim Schraeder; great grandchildren, Isla, Archer, and Jackson, with one more on the way. He also leaves behind a brother, Dennis Dent, Berwick; sister, Faye Michaloski, DE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Richard’s request, there will be no funeral services. Heller Funeral Home, LLC, Nescopeck is assisting his family.
