Roy C. Andress III

Roy C. Andress III, age 71, of Orangeville passed away at home on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Born in Bloomsburg on April 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Virginia G. (Gilpin) and Roy C. Andress Jr. He attended Central Columbia Schools and served in the United States Army from 1979 to 1983. After an honorable discharge, he was employed as an automotive mechanic for many years. He later worked at Monroe Tire Service in New York, and AMC Movie Theatre in Bloomsburg.

Roy enjoyed hunting and bowling. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Eugena “Gena” (Rupert) Andress; sons, Chad Andress, Bloomsburg; Michael Andress and wife Kathleen, Stillwater; former daughter-in-law, Erika Andress; and cherished grandchildren, Garrett, Jennifer, Brantley and Jake. He was looking forward to the birth of another in May. He also leaves behind a brother, Victor G. Pursel and wife Donna, Bloomsburg; sisters, Deborah A. Hemsarth and husband Dana, Millville; Karen E. Andress, Lime Ridge; brother-in-law, Gregory Keszkowski; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry R. Pursel; and his sisters, Nancy J. Keszkowski, and Judy V. Pursel.

A private celebration of life for family and friends will be held at the convenience of his family.
