Robert R. McCreary, age 90, of Orangeville passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Bloomsburg on February 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Robert K. and Margaret E. (Millroy) McCreary. He was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School, class of 1953. He served honorably in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956, during the Korean War. For nearly 20 years, he was employed at Bloomsburg Craftsman, and retired from Payne Printery in Dallas, PA.
He enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles and loved spending time with his family.
In 1957, he married his beloved wife, Lois A. (Keyser) McCreary. Together they raised three children and welcomed grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has missed her dearly since her passing in 2020.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Tamra Grassley, Berwick; Todd R. McCreary, Orangeville; Ty Hippenstiel and husband Carl, Orangeville; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Dorothy Girton and husband Ronald, Boyertown; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dana Grassley; sisters, Margaret Mazzitti Knorr and Joan Myers; and brother, Jay McCreary.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on December 13, 2025, at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will take place at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service.
