Roberta M. Yost, 92, of Elmcroft, formerly of Nescopeck passed away at Berwick Retirement Village II, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, where she had been a guest for the past week.
Born in Nescopeck Township on October 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Margaret (Markle) Yoder. She was a graduate of Nescopeck High School, class of 1940.
Roberta was a member of the St. James Church Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zenith. She was a member of the class for the first aides for Columbia Montour Home Health Service. She enjoyed quilting, doing crafts, and flower gardening and spending time with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Ronald Yost and wife Madelyn, Berwick, Barry Yost and wife Marlene, Ohio, Susan Mathieu and husband Mark, Arizona, Dennis Yost and wife Terri, Nescopeck Township, David Yost and wife Judith, Berwick; grandchildren, Stephanie Dalberto and husband Kevin, Scott Yost, Tracie Eveland and husband James, Matthew Armitage, Winona Britt and husband Rob, Eileen Craker, Darrell Yost and wife Kelly, Jamie Yost and wife Jennifer, Eric Yost and wife Amber; 3 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Clyde Yoder and wife Helen, Clair Yoder and wife Gail; as well as sisters-in-law, Janice Yoder and Pat Yoder.
She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle E. Yost on September 24, 2004; brothers, Edward, Samuel, Harry and 2 infant brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. James Lutheran Church, Zenith, with Reverend Oliver Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Family will receive friends at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James
