Paul M. Prueitt, 77, of Berwick passed away on early Monday morning, February 8, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Berwick on April 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Marie E. (Graham) Prueitt. He was a graduate of Central Columbia High School, class of 1957. Prior to retiring, he was employed Maier’s Bakery, Berwick for 40 years.
Paul attended Calvary United Methodist Church, Berwick and was a member of the NRA. He liked hunting, and was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Janice L. (Hutchings) Prueitt, at home; sons: Paul R. Prueitt and wife Sherri, Dupont; Mark A Prueitt, Berwick; Eric W. Prueitt and wife Dina, Danville; Wade P. Prueitt, CA; 12 cherished grandchildren: Erika and husband Chad; Jessica and husband Kyle; Amanda; Nathaniel; Cody; Bryce; Marissa; David; Dustin; Brittney; Wade T.; and Shane; 7 adored great grandchildren: Jennifer; Garrett; Alec; Kamden; Lexie; Annalee; and Skylar. His also leaves behind a sister, Caroline Kovach, Muncy; and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary; brothers: Robert and Edward Prueitt; sisters; Honey Milo; Emma Kelchner; Elaine Hunsinger; and Genevieve Boone.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck, with Reverend Dennis McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick. Family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
