Cindy A. (Mensinger) Anewalt, 59, of Berwick passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her home.
Born in Berwick on August 2, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Carl Roy and Dorothy Ruth (McCabe) Mensinger. She attended Central Columbia and graduated from Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, class of 1974. She earned her certificate from York Technical College as a radiology technician. She worked as a patient advocate supervisor for Health Care Receivable Specialists, Inc. for 10 years.
Cindy liked crafting, and often made different holiday items that she would then sell. She also was a talented seamstress, who created her children’s Halloween costumes each year when they were younger. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed hosting family holiday dinners at her home. She loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Christin and husband Kristian Whitmire, Berwick; son, Chadd Anewalt, Berwick; 5 cherished grandchildren, Carter, Kenzey and Kylee Whitmire, Parker and Isaac Anewalt. She also leaves behind brothers: Howard Mensinger, Beach Haven; Rick Mensinger and companion Linda Smith, Berwick; Thomas Mensinger, Berwick; sister, Karen Mensinger, Berwick, several adored nieces and nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Mensinger; and sister, Janette Bower.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Heller Funeral Home, LLC, 633 East Third Street, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Mifflinville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
