Kevin L. Kelchner, , 56, of Mifflin Township, passed away suddenly on December 22, 2016 at his home.
Born in Berwick on November 2, 1960, he was the son of the late Glen “Pete” and Emma (Pruiett) Kelchner, and a graduate of Central Columbia High School. Kevin was a crane operator for General Electric and Bechtel Corporation before being employed for North Centre Township. Most recently, he worked with the road crews for Penn DOT.
Kevin was an outdoorsman who spent much of his free time hunting, fishing and camping. He liked spending time with his grandsons, especially playing video games.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 27 years, Glennice I. (Emerson) Kelchner; stepdaughters, April Bisiar, and Paula Bisiar; grandsons, RJ Metzger and Jacob Reese, all of Mifflin Twp; sisters, Bonnie Prange, Columbia, PA; Kelly McCord and husband Melvin, Dickson, TN; brothers, Kim Kelchner and wife JoAnne, Kinzers, PA; Ken Kelchner and wife Mona, Portland, TN; Keith Kelchner, Cumberland, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends, including Marty and Rose Allen, who were like family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kit and Graydon Kelchner.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later time. Heller Funeral Home, LLC is assisting his family.
